What to Do Before Your Spray Tan Appointment

To prepare for your spray tanning session, we recommend completing the following steps one week prior:

• Exfoliate your body using body scrub or a body exfoliator (it's not mandatory, but it'll help)
• Use lotion twice a day

On the day of your appointment:

• DO NOT use any body lotion, body cream, makeup, or perfume on the day of your spray tan
• DO NOT put any underarm deodorant (powders or lotions) on the day of your appointment
• Wear loose fitting clothing to your appointment (cotton is optimal)
• DO NOT wear tight-fitting clothing or socks
• Wear sandals to your appointment
• Please bring a bathing suit, underwear, or other suitable tanning attire if you desire
  

Recommendations for After Your Spray Tan

Once the Bombshell Salon technician has applied your spray tan, you must allow it to dry completely. Your technician will ensure that your application is dry prior to dressing. Please be aware of the following:

• Any minor bronzer rub-off will easily wash out of most fabrics, but we recommend wearing dark colored clothing and using dark bedding
• DO NOT get your skin wet for at least 12-24 hours to ensure the tan has been developed
• DO NOT exercise or perspire excessively until the next day after your tan has developed
• Avoid touching or rubbing any tanning areas excessively
• When you do take your first shower or bath, DO NOT scrub your body with a rough washcloth and do not use body wash — a lukewarm shower is best
• Avoid long periods of time in water as this will break down your tan and lesson the life of the tan
• When showering or bathing, DO NOT be concerned if some of the initial bronzer washes off as this is normal
• DO NOT exfoliate the skin for 7-10 days after tanning
• Use a moisturizer twice per day to extend your tanning results
• DO NOT take a bath, sit in a hot tub, or a pool

Your tan will naturally fade over a period of days. Each spray tan should last about 7 to 10 days.
